To align with Microsoft’s updated security standards, we are moving from our legacy, unverified Microsoft OAuth application to a new, verified application. This verified status ensures that any application accessing services like Microsoft To Do, Outlook, and OneNote meets strict security criteria, giving you greater confidence in the integrity of your data.

Why This Change?

Microsoft now requires all applications that access its data to be verified. This update is designed to protect user information and ensure that only secure, trusted applications can access your data. Our previous unverified application no longer meets these enhanced standards. By migrating to a verified application, we achieve:

  • Improved Transparency: Both users and organization administrators can verify that Pleexy is a legitimate, secure tool.

  • Compliance with Microsoft Standards: Verified applications minimize security warnings and ensure smoother interactions with Microsoft services.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • If you use Pleexy to access data from your personal Microsoft account (e.g., outlook.com, hotmail.com):
    On your next login, you will be prompted to reauthenticate using the new verified application. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

  • If you use Office 365:

    • If you didn’t have to request admin approval when you first connected
      Your organization automatically allowed the connection. On your next login, you will be prompted to reauthenticate with the new verified application—just log in and follow the instructions.

    • If you needed admin approval when you first connected
      You will also be prompted to reauthenticate on your next login. In addition, you might see a prompt asking you to contact your IT administrator to approve the new verified application. In many cases, organizations automatically approve verified apps, but if manual approval is required, please follow your organization’s internal process to secure the necessary approval.

Rest assured, your data and connector settings will remain intact and fully operational throughout this transition. If you experience any delays or issues during reauthentication, we will provide a temporary link that lets you continue using Pleexy via the old Microsoft application until everything is resolved.
