When you use Pleexy to create tasks from OneNote, you might face a problem with the notebook names.

If you're a OneNote user and you have renamed your Notebooks in OneNote, Pleexy might return the wrong information for the tag {notebook} when creating your task title.

This is related to a known limitation of OneNote, when you change the names of your notebooks in the OneNote app, but not in OneDrive or SharePoint. Pleexy only sees the original names of the folders that store your notebooks. This can cause confusion and trouble, especially if you have many notebooks.

This problem is not caused by Pleexy, but by Microsoft's OneNote API. An API is the way that Pleexy connects with OneNote. The OneNote API shows the account name as the first part of the notebook name, instead of the actual name. This is a known error that many users have reported on Microsoft's forums and Stack Overflow.

Microsoft has not fixed this error or offered a way to avoid it yet. However, you can follow this Microsoft guide to change your notebook names: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/rename-a-notebook-in-onenote-for-the-web-d75e88d2-ef77-43eb-a870-0abe89c1a036?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us

You can also read more about this problem on this Stack Overflow question: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/47395623/onenote-api-returns-incorrect-data

We hope this article helps you understand and deal with the notebook name problem in Pleexy. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact us through in-app chat, we're always happy to help!

Thank you for using Pleexy :)
